"perhaps using different Genesis Block" - all my peers send this

in terminal all my peers are sending back this, what is the problem?
Am I running the wrong version?

Aren't newer versions of NXT backwards compatible? I'm not sure why I'm getting this message.
I have the following at the end of my properties file.
nxt.version=1.12.3
can't figure out why its saying, "perhaps using different Genesis Block" to all the peers which I know are valid peers? So of course I cannot download blocks from the chain...

Where do you see that message? Maybe send the whole log. I'm running the latest version from here and I don't get such message in the logs. I cannot even find where it's printed in code.
