# Upcoming Nxt mainnet hardfork

To clarify what Nxt versions users should be running for the Nxt migration hardfork planned for Nov 23 (block 5915915):

- Those who forge and support the Nxt migration to a child chain should run 1.13.1 and forge with it.
- Those who run nodes but do not forge should also run 1.13.1, regardless of whether they support the migration or not, since 1.13.1 will switch to the winning fork automatically.
- Only those who forge and are against the migration should either remain on 1.12.3, or run 1.13.0 ([zip package](https://www.jelurida.com/downloads/nxt-client-1.13.0.zip), [signature](https://www.jelurida.com/downloads/nxt-client-1.13.0.zip.asc)). If after the Nov 23 hardfork the version 4 fork prevails, they will have to upgrade to 1.13.1 and redownload the blockchain since 1.13.0 and older will not switch forks automatically.
